Reasonable Accommodations, as an Employer You Have Options
An employer is not automatically obligated to meet a specific reasonable accommodation requested by an employee. The individual may request a reasonable accommodation, but the employer has the option to choose a different accommodation as long as it is effective. The employer may deny an employee’s request if it would cause undue hardship for the employer. Even if the employee does not meet all the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) eligibility conditions, it may be beneficial to work with the employee to find an accommodation. Read more.
