PAYROLL SPECIALIST

HR Advantage is accepting applications for the position of Payroll Specialist on behalf of a Payroll firm providing full-scale payroll solutions for small and medium-sized businesses. We are looking for a dedicated and growth-oriented self-starter to thrive in a fast-paced, technologically-advanced environment, and to uphold a commitment to providing world-class service to clients. Location: Springfield, MO

Job Type: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM

Pay Rate: $16 – $20 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Entry-level pay rate is $16 per hour.

Duties: Deliver full-scale payroll solutions and highly personalized customer support to clients.  Perform the highest level of accurate payroll processing. Provide high-level, responsive customer service during service emails and calls. Troubleshoot with clients. Help to grow business through sales support.  Help to prepare sales proposals. Make follow-up telephone calls and send emails to potential client leads. Outreach/follow-up to referral partners. Help to collect, compile, and manage payroll processing data, etc. Provide office support/management through inbound call reception. Create and edit documents, spreadsheets, PDFs, etc. Champion precision and work to streamline systems as the business grows and expands.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a professional office
  • Payroll experience or bookkeeping experience
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience
  • Ability to execute detail oriented, accurate work
  • Flexible, friendly, and willing to pitch in where needed to ensure the success of the business
  • Ability to initiate tasks and solve problems independently
  • Excellent communication skills, including phone communication skills
  • Innovative and not afraid to offer ideas for how the business can improve
  • Excellent planning and organization skills
  • Ability to handle high-pressure client needs and responsibilities
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
