Accounting Manager

HR Advantage is seeking an Accounting & HR Manager for an Ozark, MO–based client.
This role oversees accounting, human resources, and office operations—supporting both financial accuracy and a strong employee experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Accounting & Financial Management

  • Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping processes
  • Coordinate with CPA to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Oversee sales tax tracking and reporting
  • Monitor daily financials including cash handling, deposits, reconciliations, and POS audits

Human Resources & Payroll

  • Maintain accurate, confidential employee records in compliance with applicable regulations
  • Coordinate employee benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and PTO tracking
  • Partner with payroll providers to ensure accurate payroll processing
  • Support onboarding and employee documentation

Office Operations & Administration

  • Oversee daily office operations and administrative functions
  • Coordinate scheduling, calendars, and internal communications
  • Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems
  • Assist in developing and improving standard operating procedures
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and collaborate with leadership as needed

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Help ensure compliance with business licenses, insurance policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate management of company insurance policies with external providers
  • Oversee certifications including forklift and food safety

General Support

  • Collaborate with leadership and team members to improve processes
  • Assist with additional administrative and operational tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, HR, or office management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and QuickBooks Online
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $60,000–$70,000 annually
